The software supports the following file formats:
- Cad (versions 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Zem (versions 1, 2, 2.1)
Types of final formats:
- ESRI *.shp file for graphics;
- *.DBF file for attributes;
- ESRI PGDB format;
- ESRI EGDB (ArcSDE v.8.x, 9.x);
- Mapex MPL (for visualization in Pocket PC devices).

| The software transforms in three coordinate systems:
- 1970 coordinate system (zones 3, 5, 7, 9);
- WGS84 UTM;
- WGS84 (B, L) ;
Possible functionalities:
- Processing of group of files;
- Saving of list of filesе;
The program checks for the following types of errors in the initial data:
- Completeness of polygon objects;
- Regular inside point (centric);
- Proper area;
- Adequacy between control block and layer;
- Adequacy between surrounding and inserted contours;
- Adequacy between graphics and atributes; ;
- Adequacy between table description and table records;
- Others.
Mapex manages user settings of the application, according to client’s requirements – automatic attach of attributes to geometry (contours to properties, buildings, sections etc.), nomenclature tables and others.
